Project Overview
NEWCO is aligning its Blockchain Certificates platform with the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI) and the eIDAS 2.0 qualified trust framework. The goal is to enable cross-border document verification within the EU Digital Identity Wallet (EUDIW) ecosystem, making NEWCO-issued certificates instantly verifiable by any EU member state authority.
NEWCO Contribution
NEWCO's technical team is implementing W3C Verifiable Credentials on top of the COTIC blockchain, mapping issuance and verification flows to EBSI API specifications, and pursuing eIDAS 2.0 Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP) status through the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission (EETT).

- COTIC blockchain mapped to EBSI DID (Decentralised Identifier) specification — pilot complete
- W3C Verifiable Credential issuance implemented on Blockchain Certificates platform
- QTSP application dossier under preparation with Hellenic EETT
- Cross-border verification pilot with Hellenic Open University academic credentials
