Via the secure Tap2SOS web portal, the patient — or their designated caregiver — enters critical medical information: blood type, allergies, chronic conditions, current medications, surgical history, and up to five emergency contacts. The profile is encrypted and stored on the COTIC blockchain.
Hospital staff manage patients via the tap2sos app
Hospital and clinic staff download the tap2sos app (iOS & Android) and scan COTIC cards to add patients effortlessly. Each patient also receives an NFC wristband cryptographically paired to their blockchain record — the wristband stores only a secure token, no personal data.
Data secured on the COTIC blockchain
Every update to the health profile creates an immutable audit record on the COTIC blockchain. Changes are timestamped, versioned, and traceable — meeting the highest healthcare data standards.

Does a first responder need an app to read the wristband?
No. Any NFC-enabled smartphone — including standard Android and recent iPhones — can tap the wristband and open the patient's full health profile directly in the browser, with no app required. The tap2sos mobile app (iOS & Android) is used by hospital and clinic staff to manage patient records and scan COTIC cards.
What happens if someone loses the wristband?
The patient logs in to the secure portal and deactivates the lost wristband immediately. A replacement wristband is issued and the same data is transferred — nothing is stored on the physical band itself.
Is my health data safe?
Yes. Patient data is encrypted end-to-end and stored on the COTIC permissioned blockchain. NewCo never sells or shares personal data. The system is GDPR-compliant by architecture.
Can a hospital integrate Tap2SOS into their systems?
