Technology positioning

AI × Blockchain
× Quantum research.

Three technologies, three different jobs, three different levels of maturity. This page explains what each one does in NEWCO's work, what it cannot do, and where it currently stands.

Quantum: research and planning stage, confirmed by the company. No published technical results have been supplied. No deployed product capability is claimed.
Research and application contexts

AI-assisted analysis

Machine-learning methods help spot patterns and anomalies in data, for example in sensor events or digital health research contexts such as COMFORTage. It supports people; it does not replace them.

Practical benefit

  • Earlier signals from large or noisy data
  • Prioritises what a human should review
  • Can work on top of IoT event streams

Limits

  • Only as good as its data and evaluation
  • Needs human oversight for any consequential decision
  • No blanket claim that AI runs in every NEWCO product
Used in NEWCO products

Blockchain integrity records

NEWCO's portfolio describes recording a cryptographic fingerprint (hash) of a document or event with a timestamp on its blockchain record layer. Verification compares a newly computed fingerprint with that record.

Practical benefit

  • Shows whether a record changed after registration
  • Verification without contacting the issuer each time
  • Shared record layer across Tap2SOS, certificates and IoT seals

Limits

  • Proves consistency, not factual truth
  • A wrong input recorded correctly stays wrong
  • Does not on its own establish identity or legal validity
Research and planning

Quantum computing research

NEWCO has confirmed research work and planning on Quantum topics. No published technical results have been supplied; no deployed Quantum capability is claimed.

Practical benefit

  • Prepares the company to assess future relevance
  • Informs long-term architecture and partnering choices
  • Open to research collaboration

Limits

  • No deployed product capability claimed
  • No quantum advantage, security or TRL claim
  • No named quantum projects or partners supplied

The combination

How the pieces relate

  1. 01

    IoT captures

Sensors capture physical events. COTIC (cloud on tap information carrier) connects a tap with access to information, as in Tap2SOS.

  2. 02

    AI helps interpret

Where used, AI-assisted analysis flags patterns for people to review.

  3. 03

    Blockchain anchors

A fingerprint of the record or event is written to COTIC so later changes are detectable.

  4. 04

    Quantum is explored

Research and planning only: assessing what quantum computing could mean for this stack in the future.

This illustrates complementary roles, not an implemented four-step pipeline. Not every product uses every step; Quantum remains research and planning.

Maturity

Where each area stands

Portfolio descriptions are company information. Independent evidence is listed only where it exists, and an external project website confirms project context, not company-specific delivery.

An important distinction

Quantum computing is not post-quantum cryptography

Quantum computing uses quantum-mechanical hardware to compute. Post-quantum cryptography (PQC) is the opposite direction: classical algorithms, running on ordinary computers, designed to resist attacks by future quantum computers. NIST runs the standardisation process for these algorithms.

NEWCO does not claim to implement post-quantum cryptography. Its Quantum work is research and planning.
