NEWCO S.A. has been selected to participate in COMFORTage, a Horizon Europe project dedicated to developing technology solutions that support healthy, active, and dignified ageing across Europe.

The COMFORTage consortium brings together healthcare providers, technology firms, research institutions, and patient advocacy organisations from across the EU. The project aims to create interoperable, person-centred health data platforms that support older adults living independently.

NEWCO's contribution focuses on two critical layers: first, the secure and privacy-preserving exchange of health data across institutional and national boundaries; and second, blockchain-backed patient identity and consent management, ensuring that individuals retain control over who accesses their information and when.

Our participation builds directly on the Tap2SOS infrastructure and the COTIC blockchain platform — both of which are designed for exactly these kinds of cross-system, trust-sensitive health data applications.

The project runs through 2026. We look forward to sharing progress updates as we develop and pilot new capabilities alongside our consortium partners.
